Site Rental Information

Breaux Vineyards is available for private events, corporate functions, wine dinners, and elegant weddings. We have two beautifully manicured terraces which are connected by a lighted stone staircase and accented on one side by classically designed pavilions. The natural beauty of rolling vineyards create a picturesque backdrop for a truly memorable occasion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:
How many people can you accommodate? 
A: We can accommodate up to 300 guests on each winery green. The average wedding at Breaux is 150. 

Q:Do you host multiple events on the day of my wedding? 
A:
No! When you choose Breaux as your wedding and reception site, you can relax in knowing that you will not run into another bride! We are host to one signature event at a time. 

Q:How much is your site fee?
A:
Our site fees start at $5500.00 for the use of the site and the patio tables and chairs. The fee varies according to the time of year your wedding occurs. We offer discounts for weekday weddings!

Q:Can you give me an estimated cost for my entire wedding? 
A:
Breaux hosts signature weddings and therefore we take a personal approach to your needs. With respect to your personality, personal wishes, family traditions and customs, we do not take a  "cookie cutter" approach to any event.  The cost of your entire wedding should always be determined by your budget. Your wedding coordinator can help you with this. 

Q:Do you provide the catering? 
A: Breaux Vineyards does not have a caterer on site but we do have Select Vendors that have created menues exclusively for our site. You may bring any caterer on site as long as they have the required insurance and licensing and they have been approved by our Events Manager. We do require that caterers that are not on our list meet with our events manager so that they understand our rules and regulations and so they can get to know the site better. All caterers must provide Breaux with a copy of  their certificate of insurance.

Q: Do I need a Wedding Planner for my event? 
A: Any event with 60 guests or more requires  that you have a professional wedding planner for the day of your wedding. We will have 2 employees present at your event but we do not act as a coordinator unless we are contracted to do so. For events under 60, a family member or friend may serve as a designated point of contact and will assist the bride and groom for the duration of the event. Obligations include keeping up with  timelines and contractual stipulations, We charge $100 per hour for coordination or a flat rate of $1800 for coordination on the day of the wedding. We can also recommend outside wedding coordinators to you.

Q:What time can my wedding start?
A:
We are open from 11:00 - 6:00 between the months of May - November and November-April we are open from 11-5. Weddings occur after hours. Smaller weddings (under 70) may take place during business hours with the understanding that we will remain open to the general public.


Q:Do I need to make an appointment to meet with someone there about site rental  or can I just show up?
A:
We ask that you call Jennifer, our Events Manager,  at 540-668-6299 x202 to schedule your appointment. You are welcome to stop by any time during business hours to view the grounds but if you would like for us to walk you through the site, or discuss your day in any capacity, appointments are necessary. Weekdays between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm are preferred. Weekends are very busy and appointments are available between 10:30 am and 12:00. Of course, if absolutely necessary, we can schedule at a time not listed here in order to acommodate your needs. After you have contracted, you will still need an appointment to discuss further details of your day.

Q:Can I have beer and liquor in addition to wine at my wedding? 
A: Yes, you may bring in liquor and beer provided you attain the appropriate licensing. Wine and Champagne for all events must be purchased through Breaux Vineyards. A special Banquet License is required for any other alcohol use. Beer is permitted in bottles only(no kegs).  *Check with your caterer - they may already have the license necessary to serve alcohol other than wine! No shots of liquor are permitted during the event. Wine is offered with a case discount. 

Q:Who serves the alcohol at my reception?
A:
Your contracted caterer will handle the bar tending, especially if you are having other alcoholic beverages.  If you are serving ONLY WINE and non-alcoholic beverages,  Breaux is able to provide the bartenders for your reception. The cost of bartenders varies for the number of guests at your reception. Bartending charges $35 per hours for the bar manager and additional bartenders are  $25 per hour per staff person. The bartenders are scheduled 2 hours prior to event and one hour after. 1 bartender is typically scheduled for every 40 guests. The Event Coordinator reserves the right to add additional staff depending on individualized set up and service requirements. 

Q:When is last call?
A:Last call is 30 minutes before the event ends. If your event is over at 11:00, last call is at 10:30.

Q:What time can my guests arrive the day of my wedding?
A:
Your guests may arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the wedding. An earlier arrival may result in overtime charges as it disrupts our customers and our efforts to transition our grounds for your event. 

Q:How many hours are included in the site fee (for how long is the rental)? Can I book additional hours? 
A:
The site rental is for a period of up to 5 hours. The 5 hours begins at the time designated in your contract. Keep in mind that the 5 hours does not include the time that is designated to vendors. Vendors may begin setting up as early as the day before your wedding at no additional charge to you as long as this is cleared with the Breaux Events manager.
Additional reception hours are available for a fee.

Q:My family wants to come in and decorate the grounds and tent the day of my wedding. Is that okay?
A:
Decorating the lower pergola and green may be done as early as 4:00 pm on the day of the wedding. The tent may be decorated on the day of the wedding as soon as the tables and chairs are set up. Decorating or reconfiguring  the patio and other areas that are open to the public cannot be done until our guests are off the grounds. Most often, the caterers and wedding coordinators complete the placement of floral arrangements, candles and other decor on the patio while the ceremony is taking place.

Q:Can I have a live band or DJ?
A:
Live music is permitted until 11:00 pm in accordance with the Loudoun County noise ordinance. All live music must stop at 11:00. 

Q:Where do I get a Marriage License?

Q:What do you require to secure a date at Breaux Vineyards?
A:
We require a deposit in the amount of 1/2 of your rental fee with the remainder due 45 days before your event. We do not hold dates without a contract and a deposit.

Q: Where do my guests park?
A:
We have ample  paved parking on site. Shuttles are recommended for wedding sthat include many out of town guests.

Q:Can we do a rehearsal the day before?
A:
Yes. as long as there are not other conflicting events the day before, a 45 minute rehearsal is allowed. It must be done before the close of business. Please schedule the time of the rehearsal with our  events manager.

Q:Can our dog be in the wedding?
A:
Of course! We are a dog friendly vineyard! Keep in mind that it is a long day for everyone and having someone take your 4-legged family member home before the conclusion of the event may be a good idea. Your dog must remain on a leash.

Rent the Breaux Vineyards Patio
Perfect for smaller private parties!   Reservations are required and we will not be able to accommodate private parties during our on site special events.

  • The winery and grounds are open to visitors daily from 11am to 6pm, the Patio is open to visitors for the enjoyment of purchased Breaux Vineyards wines and our gourmet fare. We do offer a portion of the space to be rented by private groups for special occasions.
  • At the far end of Patio Madeleine, we can arrange three large(54 inches round) cafe tables and three small(30 inches round) cafe tables which can accommodate approximately 33-39 seated guests. If desired, this would also include the use of three patio umbrellas among the six tables.
  • We will supply the use of one Breaux Vineyards logo wine glass per person for your event. These souvenir glasses can be purchased for $3.50 each. Customized wine glasses are available and required 4 weeks notice. Prices vary according to quantity. Please make an appointment to customize your glasses and see your options.
  • All wine served must be provided by Breaux Vineyards. If you wish to have a large quantity chilled for your event, we request that you notify us several days beforehand and prepay by credit card for that initial quantity. Please refer to our wine listing for selection and prices. No other alcohol will be permitted on Patio Madeleine during normal business hours.

Each event is unique so please call for pricing and options for your party.

We require a deposit of 50% upon signing of the contract. The remaining amount will be paid in full no later than 45 days before the event.

  • Please note the patio is used by Breaux Vineyards visitors and their guests. Normal business hours are 11-6 daily. Our staff will encourage all visitors to vacate the premises by 6 pm. Vendors will not have access to the patio area until 5:45 pm.

    If any wedding consultation and coordination is needed beyond the one hour provided by our Hospitality and Events Manager, please discuss this with the events manager. We will help you determine how many hours of coordination you will need. We do require a separate contract for coordination.
  • A wedding coordinator is required for receptions of 50 or more guests. For smaller receptions, we require that there be a designated contact person.
